The President of the UFC, Dana White, has given his thoughts about the current situation regarding Gina Carano after the former MMA fighter was sacked from ‘The Mandalorian’ after posts she had shared to her social media.

Carano shared posts comparing the political divide in the United States to the treatment of the Jewish population by their neighbors in Nazi Germany, claiming there isn’t a huge difference.

What did White have to say?

Carano used to be a professional MMA fighter, fighting for companies such as Strikeforce and EliteXC, boasting an impressive winning record before hanging up her gloves in 2009 to pursue her dream career in acting.

White was asked for his views regarding the controversy that currently surrounds the ex-MMA fighter before the start of UFC 258 last weekend.

According to the New York Post, White stated that he believes she made a simple mistake, calling for people to leave her alone.

Dana still has some issues with Helwani

He then criticized the reaction of Ariel Helwani, who is the top UFC reporter for US sports channel ESPN.

Helwani had stated that her posts hadn’t sat well with him, saying that he feels sorry for her.

Carano had stared as Cara Dune in the ‘Star Wars’ spin-off Diseny+ series ‘The Mandalorian’, where she appeared in 7 episodes across 2 seasons of the show.

Before her sacking, rumors had been floating in the air that she would star in another ‘Star Wars’ series, allegedly called ‘Rangers of the New Republic’, however, Disney has not confirmed casting for the series and any casting of Carano for another Disney project has all but been ruled out.

So, what is Carano doing now?

After being sacked by both Disney and Lucasfilm, whilst at the same time being dropped her agency, Carano’s career looked dead in the water.

However, she has recently been offered a lifeline by the Conservative network known as The Daily Wire, who have given her the chance to produce and star in her very own film, that will be aired exclusively to Daily Wire members.

Carano has described this moment as having her dream fulfilled, citing that the mob cannot ‘cancel us if we don’t let them’.

The details of this new film will be kept under wraps for as long as possible, with this marking a new venture for The Daily Wire as they look to bolster their entertainment prospects.
