One of the latest propaganda tactics to emerge out of the left-wing Democratic Media Complex has been to label any attempts to question the integrity of the 2020 election as the “big lie.”

Of course, to any genuinely curious person, this kind of rabid and overtly propagandistic response to what are really just simple questions should be a sign that there is probably some truth to the claims that the election was meddled with or even outright stolen.

Honest people who have nothing to hide do not immediately mobilize to poison the well and shut down attempts at discussion.

And this doesn’t even begin to discuss the blatant hypocrisy of the left’s response to the right’s concerns over election integrity when compared to the left’s chorus of wailing over alleged “Russian meddling” in the 2016 election.

The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway has recently called attention to this hypocrisy in a devastating way.

Hemingway Exposes Double Standards

On May 16, Hemingway put together an excellent Twitter thread which, quite simply, takes the ax to the left. She started the thread by saying, “When the media and prominent Democrats all the way up to Hillary Clinton and Jimmy Carter spent four years hysterically repeating that Donald Trump as a traitor who colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, we didn’t call that a ‘big lie.’ Why is that?”

To answer Hemingway’s question, we didn’t call that a “big lie” — even though it obviously was — because what is presented as “truth” and what is presented as a “lie” in the media is entirely a function of who happens to control the media.

When pro-Democrat political hacks and operatives staff every important position in nearly every mainstream media organization, they will tell any lie that they have to to help their side and ignore any truth that hurts their side. Alas, this is just human nature. This is why when unnamed members of the intelligence community emerged to claim one wild conspiracy about Trump after another, the media ate out of the palms of their hands.

It never occurred to the media that the very same people who were claiming connections between Trump and Russia were also those who lied about there being weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Frankly, there is far more evidence of election fraud in 2020 than there ever was for connections between Trump and the Kremlin.

As Matt Braynard showed through his work with the Voter Integrity project and now with Look Ahead America, things like illegal voter registrations in Georgia and fraudulent requests for “Indefinitely Confined” status in Wisconsin — which allowed people to request mail-in ballots without showing ID — were more than enough to shift the results in those states. There is also surveillance camera footage from both Georgia and Michigan showing election workers illegally counting mysterious ballots in the dead of night. The ongoing election audit in Arizona is also uncovering more evidence of fraud as we speak.

But one of the privileges of power has always been the ability to get away with hypocrisy.
