Wi Spa, a luxury spa in Los Angeles’ Koreatown, became the subject of some intense controversy last week. Now, however, things have significantly escalated.

The story began with a viral video of a woman confronting the staff at Wi Spa about a transgender woman who was allowed to undress at the spa, thus exposing herself to other patrons — including to underage girls.

The staff appears to have refused to do anything at the time, and this eventually prompted supporters of the woman who made the video to assemble and protest the spa.

A local chapter of Antifa showed up to counter protest in support of the trans woman.

Wi Spa and Transgenderism

In her video, the woman in the spa can be heard saying the following: “So, it’s OK for a man to come into the women’s section, show his penis around other women, young little girls — underage — in your spa? Wi Spa condones that, is that what you’re saying?”

Predictably, Wi Spa released a statement shortly after the controversy erupted which will pacify absolutely no one, regardless of what side of this issue they fall on. “Like many other metropolitan areas, Los Angeles contains a transgender population, some of whom enjoy visiting a spa,” the statement read. “Wi Spa strives to meet the needs of all its customers.”

Protestors who supported the woman scheduled a protest at the spa for 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 3. However, SoCal Antifa, the local Antifa chapter, launched a counter-protest called “No Bigotry in L.A.” at the same time.

As Andy Ngo and other journalists have reported, Antifa could be seen attacking videographers who were present at the protest and then hurling profanities at them and trying to chase them away. Another video shows Antifa members threatening a couple at the protest, ripping up their signs and saying, “You’re gonna get your ass knocked out.”

More videos show Antifa doing things like attacking and beating a street preacher and harassing a young woman who is in her car.
