As the United States is being plagued by unbridled wokeism, the nation is suffering from a real epidemic of attacks against law enforcement, the latest and especially brazen such assault just occurring in New York City.
An ex-con on Sunday morning approached a police officer in Brooklyn, and dealt him an unexpected blow with a glass bottle, splitting his head open.
The policeman was smoking a cigarette near a parked cruiser of the NYPD when the young male – later identified as Tyshaun Holloway, 27 – assaulted him for no reason whatsoever.
The especially impudent attack was caught on bodycam footage, with a 22-second-clip later released on social media.
When the injured police officer and his partner caught the attacker after a brief chase, the ex-con told them, “I’m going to kill you!”
Hiding under a car
The injuries on the cop’s head and neck were so serious that they required surgical staples and stitches to be closed, the NYPD announced.
Tyshaun Holloway was wearing a tie-dye rainbow-colored T-shirt featuring the words, “Feed Your Dream.”
After he dealt the blow to the cop’s head, he immediately ran off.
According to jail records, he is only 5-foot-5 and weighs 160 pounds.
The suspect was captured a block away from the site of the attack.
The injured police officer and his partner discovered him hiding under a parked car.
As soon as he was pulled out from under the vehicle, Holloway screamed that he was going to kill the officers “as soon as I can.”
The 27-year-old man has now been charged with assault and criminal weapon possession, assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, menacing, and obstruction of governmental administration.
Holloway has been arrested before, including for committing a couple of assaults against NYPD officers in the Bronx back in September 2016.
According to the Bronx DA’s Office, the attacks back then came after a groping incident, after which the man was arrested but managed to hit a cop in the face.
Why is he on the streets?!
After that, he was taken to the Lincoln Hospital’s psychiatric ward where he assaulted a different officer by throwing a heart monitor at him and then tried to punch him.
Tyshaun Holloway spent only 30 days in jail for those assaults, after striking a plea bargain and getting sentenced for misdemeanor assault and forcible touching.
In 2017, he was charged with attempting two robberies in Harlem, and with making terrorist threats.
While details about those cases have not been revealed, according to online records, he was sentenced to 2 years in prison, and was paroled in 2019.
Holloway’s post-release supervision was completed in February 2021.
Apparently, at this point, he decided to update his already rich criminal record by walking straight up to a cop and bashing his head with a glass bottle.
A Brooklyn Criminal Court judge ordered Holloway, who is originally from Virginia, to be held on a $30,000 cash or bond bail.
