Trump Takes to Twitter to Warn Cowardly GOP Senators Ahead of Jan. 6: “I Will NEVER FORGET!” — Nor Will His Voters
As overwhelming evidence of fraud in the 2020 presidential election continues to mount, many GOP senators are still either too craven or too corrupt to stand up for President Trump.
The assembled evidence now includes hundreds of sworn affidavits, countless extreme statistical anomalies, proof that voting machines switched votes from Trump to Biden in counties in both Michigan and Georgia, and security camera footage from Georgia showing election workers repeatedly running the same batches of ballots through scanners in the dead of night.
Since the courts have thus far refused to even hear the evidence and most state legislators are too afraid to do their constitutional duty and decertify the fraudulent elections in their states, the president now turns to Congress to get them to do the right thing.
January 6: Day of Reckoning
On January 6, 2021, the vice president will count the electoral votes from each state, and Congress will certify the presidential election—unless, that is, at least one senator and one House member can be found to object in writing to the electors sent from each of the states where there has been fraud.
So far, over a dozen House members, including Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, and Representative-elect Lauren Boebert of Colorado, have agreed to object to the Electoral College’s January 6 count. However, no senators have yet formally declared that they will do so, despite rumors floating around that a few will eventually make that decision.
Trump’s Tweets Show His Displeasure
President Trump took to Twitter to express his displeasure over this state of affairs. In a tweet on December 24, he said of the senators, “They (almost all) sit back and watch me fight against a crooked and vicious foe, the Radical Left Democrats. I will NEVER FORGET!”
It’s clear also that President Trump’s nearly 75 million voters will never forget this betrayal, either.
To give just one illustration of Trump voters’ fury with the GOP, John Fredericks, host of a radio show and a prominent Trump supporter, has long been receiving calls from Trump voters enraged over the cowardice of Republican politicians. Many say that they will refuse to vote for Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler in the upcoming Georgia Senate runoff elections on January 5 unless those senators steadfastly support the president in his campaign for election integrity.
Gathering in D.C.
President Trump has also invited his supporters to come to Washington, D.C., in large numbers on January 6. Since there have also been rumors that President Trump may invoke Executive Order 13848 and empower the military to seize voting machines and try people for election fraud, it is unknown whether his tweet hints at plans to go over the heads of the GOP and take serious action.
