Two Chinese gold medalists have sparked an outrage at the Tokyo Olympics by wearing pins with the image of Mao Zedong, the founder of the People’s Republic of China and the greatest mass murderer in human history who killed dozens of millions of people for the sake of communism, Marxism, and, as his own murderous leftist brand came to be known, Maoism.
The “unscheduled appearance” by Mao – as an Associated Press report put it – at the Tokyo Summer Olympics is now being investigated by International Olympic Committee.
Chinese commies join American wokeists in tainting the Games
The IOC said it is “looking into the matter” since political gestures are forbidden in the international sports forum.
Of course, that hasn’t stopped radical leftists from tainting the Olympics with the misguided political posturing – first, by delusional wokeist US athletes who have tried to humiliate the United States, and now by other leftists, Chinese communists admiring the most genocidal dictator in history, who far surpassed Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin in mass murder scale.
The two Mao-admiring Chinese athletes, Bao Shanju and Zhong Tianshi, wore the pin badges of PRC founder after winning on Monday the women’s sprint in track cycling.
Bao and Zhong might now be judged by the OIC to be in violation of Olympic Charter Rule 5 banning political statements on the Olympic podium in the 2021 Tokyo Summer Games – as well as the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing next year.
Mark Adams, IOC spokesman, informed during the daily news conference in Tokyo that his institution contacted China’s Olympic Committee to ask them to offer a report on the situation with the Mao pins.
The new political gesture at the Tokyo Olympics, this time by the Chinese athletes, came a day after Raven Saunders, the wokeist US shot-put silver medalist, crossed her raised wrists at the podium to protest “racism,” and more specifically, to embarrass the United States before the eyes of the whole world.
It is unclear whether the wearing of the Mao pins is in anyway related to the political statement made by Saunders who was standing next to a Chinese athlete who won the gold medal.
An American lefties’ Cultural Revolution wet dreams
Of course, the certain obvious connection between the two is that both acts of political demonstration at the international sports forum have been committed by ill-minded leftists.
In spite of murdering tens of millions of Chinese during his time at the helm of the People’s Republic of China (1949-1976), and before that, during the Chinese Civil War, Mao Zedong remains an icon even as 45 years have passed since his death.
In the 1960s, hundreds of millions of Chinese wore Mao badges in order to demonstrate loyalty to the Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party and his Cultural Revolution of 1966, an ultra-radical slaughterhouse.
The latter in particular seems to be a wet dream for America’s leftists, and have been trying to set it in motion, including by increasingly having “overly sensitive”, wokeist students harass their own college professors – in those rare cases when the professors don’t happen to be vile Marxists but profess basic human decency and normalcy.
