Stacey Abrams has just been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

You can’t make this up.

It really seems as if the more time passes, the further everything drifts into the realm of total irony.

The Reasons for the Nomination

Why has this happened? Well, a Norwegian lawmaker has said that the nomination came about because of Abrams’ “work to promote nonviolent change via the ballot box.” In other words, she is being rewarded for her role in perpetrating election fraud, both in the 2020 presidential election and in the subsequent senatorial runoff elections.

Abrams was one of the chief architects of a scheme whereby Democrats could steal Georgia elections. She set up a network of ballot drop boxes into which people could place their mail-in ballots. There is essentially no chain of custody in this system, providing enormous opportunities for ballot box stuffing and other kinds of fraud.

She also helped organize all kinds of people, including felons, the homeless and even those too young to vote, into voting by providing them with all kinds of manufactured addresses. Georgia voters are required by law to declare an address, so by setting up people with P.O. boxes for addresses and other kinds of shady dealings, she was able to play the system.

Investigations into this have found that about 2,500 felons and about 66,000 people who were too young to vote voted in the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. This was enough to grant Biden victory in that state. This doesn’t even include all of the out-of-state voters and other illegal or questionable ballots that were cast.

To help give these criminal actions a patina of legality, she enlisted the help of—who else?—her sister, Judge Leslie A. Gardner, who blocked the Muscogee County Board of Elections from investigating 4,000 people who voted in the Senate runoff elections on January 5 but who allegedly live outside of the jurisdictions in which they voted.

Being registered in one jurisdiction and voting in that jurisdiction while living in another is illegal under Georgia law.

A Rigged System

This nomination is just one further slap in the face to the people. If Democratic Party elites like Stacey Abrams can rig elections and then get rewarded for their behavior, then this only delegitimizes the Nobel Peace Prize even further. It’s bad enough that Barack Obama won the prize while dropping bombs on people in the Middle East. It’s even worse that BLM has also been nominated for the prize after spending months burning down American cities.

The Nobel Peace Prize is little more than an opportunity for elites to do more self-congratulatory navel-gazing and talk about how much better they are than you.
