Freshman Republican Representative Nancy Mace from South Carolina took exception to some of the remarks made by New York’s Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez about the insurrection at the capitol. Promoted as a Democratic leader, Ocasio-Cortez commented during an Instagram Live Chat on February 1 where she said she had a near-death experience. Followers of Ocasio-Cortez have attacked Mace for stating that her experience was different than that described by the Democratic representative. As predicted, the mainstream media, including CNN’s “The Lead” anchor Jake Tapper, has also attacked Mace.

Calling Representatives Liars May Backfire

Tapper took to Twitter to call Mace and those who say that there was very little danger to representatives on January 6, 2021, liars.

He also said that those individuals were attempting to whitewash the scenario and change the topic. Tapper said that he had never witnessed anyone trying to rewrite history as openly as U.S. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy did when he said that everyone shared responsibility for what happened in the nation’s capital on January 6.

Who Is Jack Tapper?

Before one takes Tapper’s comments too seriously, however, one must only realize that the network that employees him spent the summer manipulating the public’s mindset about the summertime riots. These comments are also fascinating since Tapper recently described Mace as a model example of how a lawmaker should act. Of course, one must remember that Tapper’s former employer was the far-left Salon website and worked for Democrat Marjorie Margolies after actively supporting Ed Rendell’s candidacy to become Philadelphia’s mayor.

Tapper may need to look in the mirror before he passes judgment on who is telling the truth. It might also be a great idea if CNN and other news media organizations went back to reporting the truth without giving their personal opinions before becoming the laughing stock of the entire world.
