Long-Awaited Praise for Trump and Operation Warp Speed
Almost one year into the COVID-19 pandemic and the boss of Dr. Anthony Fauci is finally praising the administration of former President Donald Trump for their efforts in rolling out a vaccine in record time. Over the last few months, the left-leaning media has slammed the Trump response to the pandemic in general. It took an Axios interview with Dr. Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), for somebody to give Trump and his team credit for getting the job done with the vaccine rollout.
Collins Credits Azar for Effort
Collins credited former Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar and Operation Warp Speed for delivering on their promise to get the vaccine into the arms of Americans by the end of 2020.
The NIH director also praised Dr. Moncef Slaoui for coordinating the rollout and keeping on track with the deadlines.
Collins pointed out that this effort was at least five years faster than had ever been seen before in the medical community. Not only did the Pfizer vaccine get approved in record time by the FDA, but the Moderna vaccine also received the emergency use authorization (EUA) by the end of the year.
Democrats Still Hesitant to Offer Positive Feedback
Despite the overwhelming praise by Collins and even Fauci himself, the Democrats and their media friends have done nothing but criticize Trump’s team for not delivering on their promises to the American people. Instead, the mainstream media wants to offer the credit up to new President Joe Biden and his team.
