President Joe Biden, as we know, isn’t one to face the media well, having only held one formal press conference since taking office in January.
However, every now and then, the President answers questions while briefing the press regarding the Covid-19 situation in the United States.
However, his latest briefing on the pandemic was unusual, to say the least, as the President would only take a handful of questions, before excusing himself as he did not want to get in ‘trouble.’
What happened at the briefing?
The outdoor briefing took place during a very nice day of American spring!
The President appeared alone yet wearing a mask, once again trying to spread his mask message despite being a fully vaccinated person.
He gave a long statement to update the press on the progress made towards taking America out of the pandemic and back on the path to normality.
In his statement, Biden gave updates to the new CDC guidance released this week, as well as updates on jab intake and declining case and death rates, especially in those who have been vaccinated against the virus.
The President attempted to conclude the press conference without taking any questions but was pressured by media figures attending to take a couple.
He gave bland answers to questions regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin, the dire situation that currently plagues India, and the new CDC guidelines.
Another reporter asked the President why he chose to approach his podium outside whilst wearing a mask, considering he was walking by himself and the reporters were distanced away from him.
He stated that he only did that so people could watch him put his mask back on when he went back inside the White House.
Odd, since the new CDC guidance states that fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks indoors or outdoors.
However, after getting bombarded with questions that he obviously did not want to answer, the President quickly ended the briefing, claiming that he was ‘really going to be in trouble’ if he answered any more questions.
A strange comment coming from the leader of the free world, fuelling rumors that he may just be a puppet for the far-left division of the Democratic Party.
