One of the most deplorable and hypocritical members of the US Congress, far-left radical Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), has stunned America with brand-new hypocrisy: turning to capitalism to raise money in order to force socialism upon the United States.

AOC, as she is known, has invested over $1.4 million from her campaign funds into a political merchandise store.

What is even more bewildering in this story is that the news was broken by the Reuters news agency, which aided AOC with lavish free advertising by sending a total of nine tweets about the non-news story to its 23 million followers on Twitter.

Fighting capitalism with - capitalism.

Reuters reported that the New York Democrat, who might be the sharpest spear of radical, anti-Western leftism out there in the US political landscape, is now selling T-shirts and other items with her slogans such as “Tax the Rich”, “AOC”, or “Fight for our Future.”

The news agency cites data from the Federal Election Commission revealing that the campaign of Ocasio-Cortez paid more than $1.4 million to a firm called Financial Innovations, which makes political merchandise.

According to Reuters, AOC’s goals with her capitalist venture are to raise campaign money but also to raise her profile in the Democratic Party and boost her wider influence.

Andrew Frawley, who worked on merchandise operations for the 2020 campaign of another NYC Democrat, Andrew Young, said AOC’s campaign will likely score a profit of at least 50%.

AOC herself has more than 8 million followers on Instagram.

She has raised some $6.9 million since the November election.

Yeah but my store is non-profitable…

At the same time, Reuters cites her campaign as declaring the goal of her online store to be the uplifting of “independent artists of color” to achieve a more equitable world.

Ocasio-Cortez, who is also one of the members of the radical left and apparently anti-American congressional group known as the Quad, was quickly called out for her socialist-turned-capitalist mimicry.

Former White House press secretary under President Donald Trump, Sean Spicer, made probably the best comment about her on Twitter by stating that she is a socialist who is using capitalism in order to push socialism.

AOC reacted angrily by responding that her shop is unionized, and not for profit, and offering charitable programs.

Speaking on Fox News, Joe Concha, a political columnist for The Hill, also called out AOC’s capitalist push.

He lambasted Reuters for seemingly allowing interns to run the news agency’s Twitter account with its 23 million follows, as its 9 tweets about the AOC merchandise are the best kind of free advertising.
